Pour 1 cup of water in the bottom of the Instant Pot.
Place a steamer basket in the Instant Pot and fill it with your uncooked eggs. (I usually do about 8 at a time, but if you have another rack, you could do more.)
Close the lid and make sure the valve set to sealing. Set the pressure cooker for 5 minutes on high heat. If will take about 5 minutes to come up to pressure. (If you would like to soft-boil your eggs, set on manual for 3 minutes.)
Once the cooking time is up, let the pressure release naturally for 5 minutes. (Unless you want to soft-boil. If this is the case, do a quick release right away.)
Release any leftover pressure manually.
Place your eggs into an ice bath (or at least cold water) so that they stop cooking.
Refrigerate and enjoy later, or peel and enjoy your perfect hard boiled eggs now!!
